Cookie policy.

An honest inventory of the cookies and browser storage valiancemedia.com uses. There are few of them, and none are for advertising.

The short version

  • Google Analytics sets two cookies so we can see how the site is used. That is the only third-party tracking running today.
  • A few first-party storage keys remember your tool settings. They never leave your device.
  • No advertising cookies run unless we configure a pixel, and this page will say so if we do.
  • You can block or clear all of it in your browser at any time, and the site keeps working.

01What this covers

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies we use on valiancemedia.com, what they do, and how to control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else we collect.

We do not show a cookie banner. Analytics loads when a page loads unless you have opted out (see Managing cookies). By using the site you accept the cookies described here. You can withdraw that at any time using the controls below.

02What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognize you between pages or visits. Local storage is similar: a small store, private to one website, that pages can write to and read from. Neither can run programs or read other files on your device.

03Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read, where visitors come from, and what devices they use. It loads with the page unless your browser matches one of our exclusions: our own IP range, local and private networks, or the opt-out cookie below. We exclude ourselves so we do not count our own visits.

Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. No Google Ads or remarketing tags run on this site.

04First-party storage

Our own code keeps a few settings in local storage in your browser. They are written and read on your device only and are never sent to us.

Vault stores nothing in your browser. The decryption key exists only in the link, and we do not store the link.

05Admin-only cookies

When a member of our team signs in to the admin area, the site sets session cookies so they stay signed in. Visitors never receive these, and they are not used for tracking. Which ones are set depends on how sign-in is configured.

06Advertising and other trackers

No advertising cookies run on this site today. Our code includes hooks for Facebook Pixel, Hotjar and Microsoft Clarity, but each one only loads if we configure an ID for it, and none is configured. If we enable one of them it may set its own cookies. We will list them here and update the date at the top of this page.

07Managing cookies

You are in control. A few options:

  • Browser settings. Every major browser lets you view, delete and block cookies, block third-party cookies only, or clear everything when you close the window. Look under Privacy or Site data in your browser settings.
  • Google Analytics opt-out. Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every site you visit.
  • Our opt-out cookie. If a cookie named va_analytics_optout exists for valiancemedia.com, the site skips loading Google Analytics entirely. You can set it from the developer tools in your browser.
  • Site data. Clearing site data for valiancemedia.com removes the local storage keys listed above. The Data Visualizer will start fresh next time.

Blocking cookies will not break this site. The contact form and both tools keep working; you only lose saved settings.

08Changes to this policy

We update this page when the cookies or storage we use change. The date at the top tells you when.
